Looking for a Cozi alternative? Here is what to try
Updated October 19, 2026
If you like Cozi but not the ads or the 30-day limit on the free plan, Cozi Gold or TimeTree fixes that for little or no money. If the real problem is that one parent types everything in, pick an app that fills the calendar from your email, like Fambee, which reads your inbox for you.
Why parents look for a Cozi alternative
Cozi is one of the most popular family organizers for good reason: a shared calendar and lists that work on any phone. The complaints we see most are about the free plan. As of October 2026 it only lets you add or view events up to 30 days ahead, and Cozi Gold ($39 a year on Cozi's site) is what removes ads and that limit.
The other complaint is older and harder to fix. Cozi is a container. It holds what someone types in, and that someone is usually the same parent every week.

If you are coming from Maple
Maple announced it was acquired and will shut down on December 31, 2026, and says data is deleted after that date. If you used Maple's family email inbox to turn school emails into events, Fambee is the closest fit, since it reads school email for you. Export anything you want to keep before the deadline.
Where Fambee fits, and where it doesn't
Fambee is for the parent who is tired of being the family's data entry clerk. Connect Gmail or Outlook with read-only access and it adds school events, appointments and deadlines to the family calendar as the emails arrive. It also plans dinners, builds the grocery list and keeps chores, home maintenance and pets on track.
It is not the right pick if your family is mostly on Android today, since Fambee is iPhone only for now with an Android waitlist. It also doesn't have family chat or a wall display. If those matter most, FamilyWall or Skylight will suit you better.
Questions parents ask
Is Cozi still free?
Yes, Cozi has a free plan. As of October 2026 the free plan only lets you add or view events up to 30 days ahead, and Cozi Gold removes ads and that limit.
What is the best free alternative to Cozi?
For a free shared calendar, TimeTree and the free plan of FamilyWall are the closest swaps, and a shared Google Calendar costs nothing. Fambee is also free to start, with a monthly allowance, if you want the calendar filled from your email.
Can I move my Cozi calendar to another app?
Most families move by syncing or subscribing to their existing calendars in the new app rather than copying events by hand. Recurring events are worth double-checking after any move.
